...Barely tolerable, I daresay...
Damn temp #2 and geology
I broke my damn temp crown again. Crapola! And it broke at the same, exact spot again. I guess it's a V, V good thing I had the prep done. Who knows when the damn tooth would have done the same thing. Now, granted a tooth is much tougher than a temp, but... At least it's not sharp and slicing and dicing this time. I'll live with it until Fri if possible.
I've been watching shows on geology tonight. I had no idea there used to be a mountain range at the Great Lakes and that glaciers ground them down to their roots. I remember my earth sciences class in 8th grade with fondness. I don't remember that being a subject back then. I also don't remember the subject of Yellowstone being known as a supervolcano. Is this stuff I missed or is this all new knowledge? Maybe living 20 miles from the San Andreas Fault has piqued my interest further?
This is a cut for the 14 fwy in Palmdale that goes through a portion of the fault. I've climbed around on the opposite side of the cut and the rocks there are facinating. You can see what pressures have done to them.
