Shopping with the Poppies
The Poppy Festival was just as it usually is. Lots of vendors, lots of music, lots of people and lots of wind. Unfortunately, I don't do wind very well any longer with these dry eyes. Thank goodness for those Panoptx glasses I got! Imagine you've got some eucalyptus or wintergreen oil in your eyes and that's what the cold wind felt like yesterday. Even wearing the glasses didn't give 100% relief and I was so ready to go after a couple of hours. I only bought from Lisa's stall since she had a pentagram pendant I've been looking at and K found a Thor pendant. She also had a 3-piece outfit that kind of like a salwar kameeze set made from sarong material. I've been thinking of that outfit for months and figured it was waiting for me all this time. A bracelet made of fluorite caught my eye, but it was made with white metal clasps instead of sterling, so I passed.
I wanted ice cream after being cold for 2 hrs, so of course we went to Denny's. They have a caramel crumble thing with vanilla ice cream that isn't bad if they do it right. Yesterday's wasn't so right, but it was OK. K had Salisbury steak w/mashed potatoes and gravy. Scary looking onions on there. It would have killed me! I made due with a turkey and bacon sandwich. Not much of a huge day, but I was knackered by the time we got home. Oh yeah, had to stop at Target so I could have more of those heater things for my back. I think they're the only way I'll get through work w/out tanking up on pain meds.
Today's been quiet with divination homework and laundry. My eyes haven't really recovered from yesterday despite the humidifier going 24/7 and me using my drops. Thank goodness there's no work tomorrow!
